Western Visayas is one of the regions of
the Philippines, is designated as Region VI. It consists
of five provinces, namely, Aklan, Antique, Negros Occidental,
Capiz, Guimaras and Iloilo. The region territory are occupied
by the native speakers of Ilonggo. Iloilo City is the administrative
center of the region.
